Giants Prevail, 6-4, Over Dallas

New York and Dallas duked it out and the Giants came out victorious.
Though he had a terrific game, Jason Wiertel could not prevent his team, the Dallas Cowboys, from absorbing a loss. New York won the game, 6-4. Wiertel was 3-3 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. New York pitcher Jim Agin got the win. He's now 2-0. Tony Aguilar was tagged with the loss.
Dave Rondan took Dallas hurler Tony Aguilar deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Giants on top, 6-3. In all, Rondan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Rondan. "Those qualities define our team."
The loss drops Dallas to 3-5.
