3-2 Loss Deepens Pittsburgh Funk
|
Buffalo beat Pittsburgh at Ralph Wilson Stadium, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to shortstop Aaron Aguilar. He went 3-3 with 3 singles. The winner in relief was Trevor McMichael. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. Pittsburgh falls to 4-12.
Aguilar contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Buffalo get the win.
Pittsburgh manager Nick Flanery, after yet another defeat, said: "Guys need to step up. Pronto."
